That's a wrap on the 2026 season, and the Blues saved some of their best for last. Sam and Hiram recap a final week that started in Virginia Beach, where the boys battled a keeper standing on his head, took the lead on a Brady Geho penalty, and settled for a 1-1 draw that officially closed the playoff door.
But the home finale at Navy Memorial? Pure joy. In front of 7,815 fans with Crabtown and the Bay Bhoys in full voice, the Blues dismantled Bethesda 4-1. Enzo bagged a brace, Ben Madore uncorked an absolute worldie from 25+ yards off a self-volley, and Tyler Gabara buried a penalty and earned the most acceptable yellow card of the season with a shirt-off celebration. A five-game unbeaten run to end the year, jumping Bethesda and Christos to finish 5th at 7-5-2 with 36 goals scored and a +16 goal difference.
This week's episode features three post-match conversations:🎙️ Ben Madore on that stunner from distance🎙️ Enzo on his brace in the season sender🎙️ Brady Geho on drawing the penalty and doing the big boy stuff
Plus: Sam and Hiram trade their wish lists for 2027, from finally beating NoVa to using the squad's depth better to one non-negotiable — MUST BEAT CHRISTOS AWAY.
Thank you to everyone who followed along this season. No socials, no fuss — we'll see you at the tailgate in 2027. UP THE BLUES! 💙

Four matches in seven days ends with a bang! Sam and Hiram break down the Blues' trip to Segra Field in Leesburg, where an early defensive miscue put Annapolis in a familiar 1-0 hole after just nine minutes. But this squad doesn't quit.
Enter Mikey Johnson. In his first-ever USL minutes, Johnson took over the match — a poached equalizer off a corner, the assist on Ben Madore's 70th-minute go-ahead goal, and a late header to seal it. Add Matt Lenert finishing a Tyler Gabara corner and the Blues rode three set-piece goals to a 4-1 statement win and their second straight comeback victory.
This week's episode features three post-match conversations:🎙️ Ale Carrillo on holding down the back line and the grind of a four-match week🎙️ Mikey Johnson on a debut he won't soon forget🎙️ An extended sit-down with the gaffer on the hectic stretch and the season as a whole — this one's a long one, kids
Plus: the boys dig into the table, where the Blues sit 7th in a logjammed Chesapeake Division. The playoff math is tight, but it's not impossible.
Note: NBFC is off next week for family vacation, but we'll be back with a season finale show — or maybe a playoff preview. UP THE BLUES! 💙

It's a packed one this week, Blues fans. We open with the Annapolis Blues taking on Liga MX side Santos Laguna in front of 7,000+ midweek fans at NMCMS — a friendly that saw the full roster get run, including a chat with all-time leading scorer Brady Geho. The Blues dropped that one 2-0, but the experience alone was worth the price of admission.
No rest for the weary — next up was Bethesda SC, and what a rollercoaster: down 1-0 early, Matt Lenert levels, Kira sees red after a controversial double-yellow, the Blues claw back from 2-1 down to lead late… and somehow still finish 3-3 after a heartbreaking stoppage-time equalizer. Brutal. Beautiful. Very 2026 Blues.
Bella's got the women's side covered too — a Father's Day showdown against table-topping Virginia Development Academy that ended in a loss but came with a major silver lining (more on that below), plus interviews with both keepers, Caroline Duffy and Abby Makella.
Then the season finale doubleheader for the Lady Blues: a rain-soaked, 4-0 win to close things out, with Sabba Haghoo, Jolie Farmer, and Zoe Vadaurre dominating the back line. The women finish the year in 3rd place in the Chesapeake — and yes, they're the only team to hand VDA a loss all season. Bella breaks down the full standings and shares her thoughts on the year that was.
And then — the Old Bay Derby. Christos came to Annapolis fresh off beating us 1-0 in their building, jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the rain... and then the Blues happened. Brady Geho's hat-trick (his 20th goal of the season), goals from Ale and Tyler Gabara, and a late Matt Lenert penalty sealed a statement 6-2 win on six unanswered goals. The supporters' section was unhinged. As they should've been.
One home match left — July 11th. Let's pack the place out.

Sam Huston and Hiram Wainwright break down a wild Week 4 for the Annapolis Blues: a dominant 5-2 win over Hill City FC followed by a controversial 3-0 Father's Day loss to defending Chesapeake Division champs NoVA FC. Enzo and Dan Karsten each notch braces in the win over Hill City, with exclusive post-match audio from both. Then it's a tougher conversation, as Sam and Hiram dig into a contentious set of officiating decisions in the NoVA match, including a disputed penalty and second-yellow sending-off in the 76th minute that flipped the game on its head. The guys talk through the no-call on NoVA's similar challenges, check in on the current Chesapeake Division standings, and look ahead to a stacked schedule: Santo Laguna on Tuesday, at Bethesda on Wednesday, and the much-anticipated MD Derby vs. Christos on Saturday. Up the Blues!

It was a brutal week for Annapolis Blues FC. Hosts Sam Huston and women's correspondent Bella break down back-to-back road losses: a heartbreaking 2-1 defeat at Loudon United where Ben Madore's extra-time equalizer wasn't enough to save the Blues from a late collapse, followed by a frustrating 1-0 loss at Christos FC where the offense couldn't find the net despite a livelier second-half push. Hear from Matt Lenert and Ale Carrillo in player spotlight segments, plus Sam's post-match conversation with coach Colin Herriot after the Loudon heartbreaker. Then Bella takes over for the Women's Club segment — breaking down the 3-3-1 squad sitting in 3rd place in the Chesapeake League, previewing the final stretch of all-home matches, and weighing in on the playoff push against a red-hot VDA squad. Plus: which players Bella's still hoping to land an interview with before the season wraps. It's a big Father's Day weekend

Annapolis Blues Recap: Lionsbridge and PFA

Naptown Blues Fancast covers the full swing of emotions that is USL2 football. Wednesday brought East Coast semifinalists Lionsbridge to NMCMS, and the result — a 2-0 defeat — was hard to argue with. The Blues controlled possession and put up 6 shots, but none of them truly tested the keeper, and a quickly taken short corner early in the second half effectively ended the contest. Sam and Hiram don't sugarcoat it. We also get to know a couple of new faces: Brazilian newcomer Enzo DeAlmedia and substitute Ollie Snowden, one of the few bright spots on the night.
Saturday was a different story entirely. PFA came to town and the Blues were ready — scoring inside three minutes through Rich Monath, surviving a lightning delay, and then absolutely running riot for a 7-0 final. Penalty goal from captain Tyler Gabara. A cheeky chip from Roshawn Panton. Two rockets from substitute Caleb Pritchett. And a hat trick to close it out for Rich Monath. Crabtown Blues showed up loud for a wings-and-hair-metal tailgate and never let up. Post-match audio from Gabara, Pritchett, and Monath included.
Sam also previews the playoff picture and the road ahead — Wednesday at Loudon, then Christos the following Monday.

You'll hear directly from the players and coach this week post-match audio from the pitch, straight from the people wearing the badge. Then Sam and Hiram dig into the first two matches of the season and what they're telling us about this Blues squad.
Match two at home ended 2-0 VBU — a result that didn't reflect the chances created or the effort put in. Defensive miscues, a phantom no-call on a penalty, a crossbar rattle on the best chance of the match, and a growing yellow card collection made for a frustrating ninety. The Blues are adjusting. The pieces are there.
Up the Blues.

This week, Sam and Hiram sit down with Pauly from the Bay Bhoys and Leo from the Crabtown Blues to break down what it actually means to be part of a supporter’s group. We're talking tailgate culture, section energy, drums, flags, and the origin story of the "Old Bay" chant. We get into what first-timers can expect on game day, how the groups keep the whole family involved, and how we can unify the stadium corner to corner.
Plus, a season update, a check-in on the standings, and the usual drink in hand.
